Altar Guild
A care committee consisting of women volunteers from the congregation who meet the third Tuesday of the month (September through May) at 7 p.m. in the Library. Responsibilities include Altar care set up/take down, communion set up/take down, candle care, flowers, banners, and other special events during holidays. Interested in joining the team? A learning community consisting of male and female adults who meet every Tuesday (September through May) at 10:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room. Join Pastor Steve as he leads this weekly drop-in Bible study. Call the church office for more information.
Caring Hands
A service-oriented committee which meets the first Monday of the month (September through May) at 6:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Provides assistance to various organizations in the area such as Apple Pregnancy Center, Bolton Refuge House, Community Table, Good News Jail & Prison Ministry, Lutheran Social Services and Salvation Army/Carelink through fundraisers such as the Baby Bottle Boomerang, Christmas Giving Tree and Food Bank Collections. Community Table
A service-oriented team of volunteers from the congregation which meet the first Tuesday of every month from 3 to 7 p.m. at 320 Putnam Street to serve food to the needy. The Community Table is a collaborative effort of local churches, the area food bank, and many concerned individuals, businesses, and civic and social groups. Interested in helping out? Contemporary Worship Team
A musical team of volunteers who lead the music for our contemporary worship services. They practice one night a week for a couple of hours and then another hour and a half before worship service. A care team oriented to welcoming people to worship at St. Matthew! Do you like to meet new people? Do you have a great smile? Do you like to talk? Then being a greeter might be the perfect fit for you! Time committment is minimal. Call Amy in the church office for more information.

A service team dedicated to making our electronic communications top-notch. Are you technologically savvy? Do you know what a "tweet" is? A care committee designed to assist a new member or new family get acquainted to the church, introduce them to others, and invite them to participate in the activities of the church. Would you be willing to serve as a mentor? Contact Amy in the church office for more information.
Needles for Need Quilters
A care committee consisting of a group of people who quilt (or would like to quilt)! They meet the second and fourth Thursdays of the month (September through May) from 9 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall. Quilts are donated to patients at area hospitals and residents at area nursing homes. Not sure you know how to quilt? The group can teach you. Otherwise, the group welcomes people who are willing to cut fabric, iron or tie yarn. Donations of fabric or other sewing materials are also welcome. Call 715-834-4028 for more information.
