Recent Happenings in Children's & Youth Ministry at St. Matthew
- Youth & Family Night Cookout & Vision Meeting: We began this evening with a cookout and presentation to the families and youth with a vision for what will be offered for children and youth, grades 3 through 12.
- Drama Ministry: Grades 6-12 learned a drama to use at “Trunk and Treat.” Children involved in drama grow in relationship with each other. Each week, we will looked at scripture that supports each drama so they had a vision as to how to help the community and share our Christian values in a unique and different way.
- Puppet Ministry
- Youth & Family Night Potluck and Prayer Walk: On this night, we had a Potluck Supper and Prayer Walk to invite the community to “Trunk and Treat.”
- Trunk & Treat: This was a Youth and Family Outreach Project. This was a way to invite the community to a free event, and it worked. Of the approximately 100 people there, more than half were from the community! Unfortunately a rainy and cold evening necessitated the event be moved indoors, but nonetheless, we still were able to perform a puppet show and drama.
